The Original Sin City

This message explored Paul's arrival in Corinth—The Original Sin City—at one of his lowest points. Fresh from rejection in Athens and persecution in previous cities, physically worn and financially strained, Paul entered a city so infamous for immorality that "to live like a Corinthian" meant living with loose morals. Yet in this seemingly hopeless place, God orchestrated divine appointments with Priscilla and Aquila, Titius Justus, Crispus, and Sosthenes. Over 18 months, a thriving church emerged in the least likely location. This story reminds us that God's faithfulness shows up precisely when we're ready to give up, and that opposition is often the sign we're on the right path. The implications for our spiritual life are profound: when discouragement threatens to derail us, God sends encouragement; when doors open for ministry, adversaries will arise; and when we persevere, God accomplishes what seemed impossible.
