It Is Written

What does it look like to be fully equipped for the battles we face every day? This message brings us to the final pieces of the armor of God found in Ephesians 6, and the picture it paints is both practical and powerful. The helmet of salvation is not just a symbol of what we have received, it is an active defense for our minds. It guards us against the lies that whisper we are not enough, not loved, or not truly saved. When we wear it, we are anchored to the truth of who we are in Christ, protected from the doubts and temptations that try to take root in our thinking. And then there is the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, which shifts everything from defense to offense. All week we have been learning how to hold our ground, but this is the piece that allows us to take ground back. Together, these two pieces complete the picture of a believer who is not just surviving but standing firm and moving forward. The question this message leaves us with is a searching one: if God never gave us anything beyond our salvation, would that be enough? Sitting with that question has the power to reorient everything.
