Don't Believe The Lies

What if the most important thing we put on every morning has nothing to do with what is hanging in our closet? This message takes us deep into Ephesians 6:10-18, where the Apostle Paul delivers one of the most urgent warnings in all of Scripture: we are already in a spiritual battle, whether we recognize it or not. Paul does not ease us into this reality gently. He names the enemy, describes the stakes, and then gives us a very specific set of armor to wear. What is striking is where he starts. Not with a sword, not with a shield, but with a belt. The belt of truth. In the Roman world, a soldier's belt held everything else together. Without it, the breastplate shifted, the sword fell, and the soldier was left completely exposed. Paul is telling us that truth works the same way in our spiritual lives. When we are not anchored to what God says is real, everything else in our lives becomes unstable. Our identity, our relationships, our decisions, our sense of worth. All of it drifts. This message challenges us to ask the hard question: what lies have we been believing, and what does God's truth say in response? It is a message that meets us right where we live.
